Dexma appoints Xavi Novella as new Senior Vice-President

Barcelona, 21 March 2023 – Dexma, a leading provider of energy management solutions for buildings, retail and industry, has appointed Xavi Novella as its new Senior Vice President. After occupying the role of Director of Operations and Customer Success at Dexma since 2015, in his new position, Novella will coordinate the company’s activity with the aim of consolidating its position as a global hub for energy efficiency.

Thanks to his extensive knowledge of the energy sector, and his experience in sales and management, the executive will be responsible for leading a new stage in Dexma (soon to become Spacewell Energy) at a time of full growth. The company closed the year 2022 with a turnover of 4.3 million euros, a figure representing an increase of 20% compared to the previous year.  Dexma, which since 2020 is part of the technology firm Spacewell (part of the multinational Nemetschek), has managed to become, from Barcelona, the energy hub of the group. Moreover, in a global context marked by rising energy prices, the Spanish company continues to expand its customer portfolio, both nationally and internationally and currently offers its solutions to more than 10,000 companies in 35 different countries.

Graduated in Telecommunications Engineering and Electronic Engineering from the Universitat Ramon Llull, with an MBA from Esade and a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing from ESIC, Xavi Novella also faces this new stage with the ambition to consolidate the company’s international strategy and explore new opportunities for expansion into new markets, such as the United States. During his professional career, the executive occupied positions of high responsibility in companies such as Heliocor Iberia or iWall In Shop, leading the general management of both companies.

Xavi Novella said: “I am very excited to start this new chapter in the company and, at the same time, very grateful to all my colleagues who have made it possible. From this new position, I will continue working to strengthen Dexma’s vision, helping companies around the world, in all types of sectors, to reimagine their relationship with their energy consumption and, in this way, contribute to a more sustainable and efficient future”.

About Dexma

Dexma provides data-driven energy intelligence. Its SaaS solution enables facility and property managers, utilities, and consultants to report on energy consumption, analyse usage patterns and inefficiencies, and detect anomalies in real-time. The solution helps companies optimise the energy efficiency of their buildings and reduce carbon emissions.

Automated energy data management solutions are key to minimising the ecological footprint of organisations and building portfolios. With the use of artificial intelligence, the data generated by these tools can predict the behaviour of buildings, thereby reducing energy costs, tracking the use of natural resources and improving the building stock.
