Utilities today must fight against lower incomes and higher churn rates. SMEs lack time and resources to pore over detailed energy management analytics tools, yet they are equally (or more) sensitive to energy as a running cost.
e4SME will help utilities boost SME engagement by helping them identify scalable energy savings. e4SME will target and segment SMEs by energy savings potential and opportunity type, identifying unique operational and retrofit opportunities in near-real time.
This innovative solution has been validated by one of the top 10 utilities in Europe. With e4SME, DEXMA seeks to achieve sales revenues of over €33 million after 5 years, reaching 740,000 EU SME-clients and saving more than 6 TWh of final energy consumption and 3 MT CO2 emissions.

The objectives of the FEEdBACk project are to develop, integrate and trial a wide range of energy-focused ICT and behaviour modification applications, that will be used to engage energy users and permit them to understand and change their energy consumption-related behaviour in three different built environments (Office/Research Labs, Schools, Domestic smart homes) in three climatic settings (northern Portugal, Mediterranean Spain, and northern Germany).

RESPOND will deploy and demonstrate an interoperable, cost effective and user-centered demand response (DR) solution. The latter will use energy automation, control and monitoring tools to integrate a cooperative demand response program into legacy energy management systems. Through interactions with end users in three different pilot sites across Europe, RESPOND will raise awareness by delivering data-driven recommendations for energy demand reduction and influence end user behaviour to make users an active part of the DR loop.

Eco-Bot aims to leverage recent advances in chatbot and advanced signal processing technology (i.e. load disaggregation) using low-resolution smart meter data with the goal of changing behaviour toward energy efficiency. Through a personalised virtual energy assistant, Eco-Bot will deliver information on energy usage down to the appliance level. The chatbot channel aims to achieve a higher level of engagement with consumers by adding more interaction with existing platforms that have been proven in different market settings.

The aim of this project is to develop a comprehensive solution for real-time energy load management (EV, lighting, HVAC, storage etc.) and to optimise PV resources to nudge building energy management closer to the NZeB (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) concept .
The system will consist of two components: 1. Energy loads management SaaS integrated with advanced decision support functionalities and predictive algorithms and 2. Energy optimisation hardware controllers (based on IoT communication standards) with integrated algorithms for control actions on selected loads.

The objective of the FlexDSM project is to develop an advanced system based on DEXCell Energy Manager that enables the implementation of demand management mechanisms for SMEs and small businesses. This solution will be comprised of a software component that uses optimisation algorithms to maximise energy benefits as well as a physical gateway to connect local systems with the software component. The aim is to achieve a significant reduction in energy costs by exploiting flexibility while guaranteeing user comfort (tertiary and commercial sectors) or established production KPIs (industrial sector).

The objective of the REFER project is to develop a solution that enables cost reduction for energy efficiency projects in buildings in the tertiary and residential sector that are seeking to become Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEBs). For tertiary buildings, this is made possible by improving energy management systems (monitoring systems, generation, storage etc) implementing new concepts to improve solar panels, fuel cells and new methodologies for reusing electric vehicle (EV) batteries in buildings.

The aim of the MIDNATTSSOL project is to develop a advanced system to integrate surplus solar energy in real time. Miguel is an Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and holds a Master in Economics and Regulation from the University of Barcelona. He has worked as a researcher at CITCEA-UPC, IREC and has also served on the National Energy Commission. Miguel currently leads the DEXMA R&D department.

Laura is an Industrial Engineer from the University of León and holds a Master in Renewable Energy. She is also a specialist in H2020 project management with a certification from La Salle. Laura has worked at CIRCE Foundation as well as the Laser Center of Hannover. She is currently responsible for planning and executing R&D and innovation projects at DEXMA.
